Prejudice - Racism

Many coloured people out there in this world are being bullied, threatened or even killed for nothing. I feel that prejudice cannot be stopped, but minimized. To most Singaporeans, it is a natural thing for us to think of coloured people in a different way. I hope that everyone can start to think that coloured people are just like white people. Even if you don't think this way, at least try to kepp your opinions to yourself. Racism has been a big problem in Europe. Therefore, it is inevitable for the court to have problems regarding rascism. I personally feel that what the court does may not always be right, assuming that they are racist too. It is no doubt that the court would stirr up emotions and create controversies. People always have a mindset that law is always right. Since the court is full of racists, then this would pose a big problem to the coloured people. People from the society would start mocking them even more, and probably question them on whether they deserve to live or not. I feel that racism gives the white a real sense of entitlement, which thereby unifies the group's phenotype for maintenance of that entitlement. Because of the court, a psychological impact was made and would affect coloured people out there by a lot. I want the government to stop all this but I know time will tell. Prejudice is a serious problem. Why can't everyone be treated equally? Everyone should always think twice before you act. Imagine yourself as a coloured man and being bullied all the time.
For language arts this term, we went through a book called To Kill A MockingBird. It focused mainly on how a coloured person was being accused of a murder that he did not do. After reading the book, I realised that racism is not just a opinion, but a 'disease'. We should all put an end to this and be anti-racist so as to make the world a better place.
