Scout :D from TKAM

Scout is an ignorant, but unique girl. She is childish and prefers playing than going to school. She also has a crush on Dill, which helps her in tolerating many of his flaws. Her crush on him helps her change her way of thinking things about him and sometimes allow her to tolerate things she usually can’t tolerate. When Walter got Scout into trouble in school, she was frustrated and attempted to wrestle Walter too. When Dill called Scout a “nigger-lover”, she flies into a rage and beats him up after indirectly called Atticus a 'nigger-lover' too. She voices out her opinions and mostly only accepts her thoughts as the right answer except in some casees where she doesn’t even know the answer to something. She is also a very proud person and thinks that she is the best one there is, and also has many differing opinions from the crowd, making her very unique. She is also quick thinking and thinks of points which frustrate boys who dare to agrue with her.

When she starts to grow older, she shows some maturity by being able to sympathize others. She was frustrated that Tom Robinson, despite being a coloured person, was being taunted at. Scout chose not to reveal his thoughts in fear of being laughed at. This showed that she was more mature and was able to identify the right from wrong. Scout also refuses to ostracize Boo Radley and even sat beside him at a point of time. As Scout grew older, she had trust of him and thought of him as a nice person. When she was young, she used to think that he was a scary person and even made fun of him.


This would show that she is a more matured person and her level of tolerance has also been greatly reduced. Just like what everyone has wanted her to be, she has become a young and fine lady in Maycomb.
